1. Create an app in Help Scout
This app allows to Planhat obtain the information of the conversations
You need to create an OAuth2 application before you can use the API. Create one by navigating to Your Profile > My apps and click Create My App. Add any name for the app and put the following url on the field "Redirection url"
https://integrations.planhatdemo.com/helpscout/verificationClick on "Create" button and Help Scout will show you the params for the app recently created.
Got to Planhat. On the Help Scout settings page, on Planhat, paste the values of the params copied on the last step. Click on "save" button.
2. Connect With Help Scout
Help Scout must to authorize the access through the app.
Click on the button "Connect with Help Scout". The browser will show a pop-up window with the login page of Help Scout. Some times the browser blocks the popup window and will show a alert notification. Please accept the notification for to see the window and to continue with the process.
Add you Help Scout user email and the password on the popup window
Once the login on Help Scout was successfully. The popup window will show you a Help Scout page for to know if you authorize the access to your Help Scout account using the custom app created. Authorize the access. If all is ok, you will see a notification "ok".
Close the popup window and reload the page. Done! Help Scout and Planhat now are synced
3. Fetch All
Once the params of the app were saved, click on "Fetch all history" button for to fetch and save all conversations updated/created on Help Scout in the last 6 months. This process can take several minutes. The conversations will appear on the page Activities -> History on Planhat.

4. Considerations
Help Scout integration uses the domain of end-user email for to guess the company related with the conversation. If the domain does not belong to any company on Planhat, the conversations will not save.
In case the Help Scout account you used for to enable the integration is removed or disabled, you can change the account using the button "Reconnect with Help Scout again?".
