Introduction

In Planhat, you have a wide variety of resources available at your fingertips! These help you get up and running with Planhat, and mean you can soon become a super user: understand the full potential of Planhat, learn about new features, work efficiently, and ultimately achieve your business goals!

You have access to training material in a selection of formats, to suit every learning style and purpose (from quick overviews to in-depth technical details); and if you need additional support, you can reach out to our fantastic Support team (and the AI assistant) via live chat.

Various resources are available via the question mark icon in the top-right of your Planhat tenant:

  • Help Center

  • Planhat Dojo

  • How-to Library

  • Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Chat

  • Planhat Labs

In this article, we'll take you through each of these in turn, so if you have any questions in future, you'll know how to quickly and easily resolve them.

Where to access help in Planhat

In upgraded Planhat (ws.planhat.com), you can get help via the "Help" icon (question mark symbol) in the top-right of the gray bar at the top of your tenant.

πŸ“Œ Important to note

If you don't see the "Chat" option when you click on the question mark icon, check your permissions: access to this feature is controlled by a workflow permission called "Planhat Support Chat" - this needs to be enabled for your Planhat tenant and your Role to see the option. If you can't see this permission to enable for Roles, speak with your Planhat contact (e.g. Customer Manager) as they can enable this for your tenant.

πŸ“Œ Important to note

If you don't see "Planhat Labs" when you click on the question mark icon, note that this is controlled by the "Admin Access" workflow permission on a Role level, configurable by you as a Planhat admin.

Help Center

This is a library of instructional articles covering a wide range of Planhat topics. You're reading one of these articles right now!

You can also access the Help Center by going directly here, so feel free to bookmark this link.

The Help Center is great if you prefer to learn by reading, and if you want to look up specific technical information. The Help Center generally covers more topics and includes greater detail than the other resource types.

You can either browse collections (articles are organized in logical groups/order), or use the search box at the top of the page if you would like to search for a particular key word.

Planhat Dojo

The Planhat Dojo is our online learning platform, where you can sign up for and take training courses to learn about Planhat features and how they can be applied to your job and organization.

You can learn all about the Planhat Dojo in our separate article here.

How-to Library

Here you will find a wide range of videos and tutorials.

  • Videos

    • Here you can find a selection of video content - great if you learn by watching/listening

    • Videos provide short overviews of features and concepts, mixing best-practice ideas with tips to get the most from Planhat

  • Tutorials

    • Tutorials are a fantastic way to learn the basics of Planhat

    • They explain how to do things in a quick and interactive way, helping you make the most of what Planhat has to offer

They are organized into two tabs corresponding to job roles, to make it easier for you to browse/identify the relevant resources for you:

  • Planhat User - general users of Planhat - not admins/builders

  • Planhat Admin - users of Planhat who are configuring Planhat for their organization

You can also use the search box at the top - useful if you are looking for something specific.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts enable you to carry out some common actions within Planhat at speed.

In Help, you can view the wide range of keyboard shortcuts available to you in Planhat.

(Note that the Microsoft keyboard shortcuts are shown in the example screenshot below; for Mac users, it's the Command key instead of Ctrl.)

πŸš€ Tip

As included in a screenshot above, you can use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl/Command I" to bring up this keyboard shortcut panel (as an alternative to clicking on the "?" icon for the Help menu).

Planhat Labs

Introduced in early 2026, this is where you (as a Planhat user who's an admin) can manage activation of certain features within your Planhat tenant - features that may be early-access: trials/experimental. You can enable (and disable) each listed feature for your tenant via its toggle switch.

πŸ“Œ Important to note

To see "Planhat Labs" within the Help menu, your Role needs the "Admin Access" workflow permission, as this functionality is designed for Planhat admins to make changes on behalf of their organization.

πŸ“Œ Important to note

Some of the features/toggles here will only be visible to Planhat staff (i.e. "Planhat Super Admins"). For Planhat staff, these features/toggles were previously located in each tenant's "Admin Settings".

Chat

If you've checked our educational resources but would still like further support, here you can speak with our amazing Support team - and our AI chat bot "Fin" - via the in-app live chat.

πŸ“Œ Important to note

If you don't see the "Chat" option in Help, check your permissions: access to this feature is controlled by a workflow permission called "Planhat Support Chat" - this needs to be enabled for your tenant (by Planhat staff) and then your Role (by you as a Planhat admin) to see the option.
