Introduction
The User Model represents the people inside your own organization—your team members using Planhat.
Key System Fields
First, let’s look at basic User Fields:
First Name - user's first name
Last Name - user's last name
Email - user's email
Nickname - this is a text field that's used to store the User's nickname. The nickname is visible in the top-right corner of the user's profile
Active - a checkbox field that needs to be enabled for that User to access Planhat
Currency - a list field that enables each User to set their own currency. For example, if the base currency is set to USD, the User can set the "Currency" field to GBP, which means when they next create a License, it will appear in GBP by default instead of USD.
Default meeting length (minutes) - a number field to store the default meeting length. When planning an event, Planhat will set the default meeting length for you using the value in this field.
Roles (list) - helps you determine who else is important within a company
SlackId - a text field that's used to store your SlackId so that you can utilize our Slack bot to retrieve your customer information. To use the Slack bot, you will need to have the Slack integration set up (see this article for setup instructions).
Other important User Fields:
Average Health - average health of customers
% Active Last 7 / 14 / 30 / 90 - percent of active customers last “X” amount of days
# Total Companies - total count of companies in this user’s name
# Paying Companies - total count of paying companies in this user’s name
Portfolio ARR / MRR - totals all activities (clicks, logins, downloads etc.) over the past 14 days
Portfolio ARR / MRR ARPA - average of total ARR / MRR
NPS - average NPS
# of Open Tasks - total # of open tasks
# of Overdue Tasks - total # of overdue tasks
# of Tasks Due next 7 / 14 / 30 / 60 / 90 Days - shows # of Tasks Due next 7 / 14 / 30 / 60 / 90 Days
ExternalId - a text field that holds the user's external ID. Typically this will be an ID that you have in your own system, which makes it easy to map the User from your own system to Planhat. When you have this field populated in Planhat, you can use it to update the User.
Key Custom Fields
Here are commonly used Custom Fields:
Forecast this Month / Quarter - shows User’s forecast for this month / quarter / etc.

Field Groups
Now that you have an understanding of the Key Fields, let’s look at how to group them in a logical way. We recommend a set up as below. This will display those fields in Previews (as well as full page profiles) for Users.
For more information on Field Groups, take a look at Help Center Article: Field Groups.
Create Form
When you create a User - you can make fields mandatory for creation, such as a few of the primary fields. This lives under Profile > Create Form.
For an in-depth breakdown on all things Profile related, take a look at our Help Center Article: An introduction to Profiles / Previews, the How-To Library in app, or check out the Dojo course related to Profiles.
